Independent Learning 2023 - 2024

The enrichment class is a friendly learning environment that encourages students to explore what they are interested in by setting up weekly expectations, challenging students to thrive independently and document their learning journey through updates on their websites.

The goal is to foster self-directed learning, and so the class empowers students to take charge of their education by setting personal goals, constructing learning targets, and consistently following through with their commitments.

Students are encouraged to explore their interests, delve into research, read books, watch videos, complete projects, and actively engage in critical thinking. This approach not only enhances their academic skills but also nurtures a sense of responsibility, accountability, and independence.

Students are expected to come into class and start their work for the day by the 8:15 tardy bell. They may elect to work on work for another class or explore another topic/game up to twice a week.
