Dear Lincoln Elementary Families,
Happy Friday Lincoln Lion Families. We have some important activities coming up in the next couple of weeks that I want to make sure are on everyone's radar.
Spring State Testing - Grades 3-5
Our annual state testing begins next week for all students in grades 3-5:
ELA Testing: Tuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7
Math Testing: Tuesday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 14
Testing will begin promptly at 9:00 AM after breakfast each day. It's crucial that your child attends school on these days and remains until testing is complete. As a special incentive, students who participate in all four testing days as scheduled will have their names entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of two brand new bikes generously donated by Walmart!
Tips for Test Success:
Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep before each testing day
Provide a healthy breakfast, or have them join us for breakfast at school
Offer words of encouragement and remind them to simply do their best
Swimming Lessons - 2nd Grade
Our 2nd grade students will begin swimming lessons next week, Monday through Thursday, and will continue the following week as well. Please remember to send your child with their swimsuit, towel, and any other swimming gear they may need.

Testing is available for students, staff and families that need it. Our goal is to keep our schools healthy and safe and finish the year strong. If you have any questions regarding COVID-19 please contact Nurse Rhianna or Jason Ihde.

Reminder that Monday February 28th is a half day early release for all Hoquiam School District students for district staff professional development.
