
Reminder to HMS Families: There is a family math fun night this Thursday at Lincoln School. It runs from 5:30-7:00 and includes food, some math related games that can be played at home, and a "Guess the amount of candy in the jar" with the jar and candy as a prize.



HMS Week at a Glance: Week of February 26-March 1: Reminder there is NO SCHOOL for students on Monday, February 25 as it is a professional development day for Hoquiam School District staff. Sports kicks off on Thursday and Friday with our JV Volleyball teams and Soccer team in action. Thursday is our Math Fun Night at Lincoln Elementary--we encourage students and families to attend for some free food, and some fun math games.

HMS Families: Wednesday is wear Red/Pink Day for Hope Week. It is also the first day of practice for Volleyball and Soccer at the Middle School. Please make sure your athlete is cleared in Final Forms so they can participate. There was some other reason tomorrow was circled on my calendar....I just can't remember...Oh well, I'm sure my wife will tell me tomorrow night.

HMS Parents and Students: After a brief hiatus, the after school program will be returning on Tuesday, February 13.

HMS Parents: There is a very important Parent Event coming up at Aberdeen High School on Wednesday, February 21 regarding Fentanyl. The event is being put on by a number of coalitions throughout Grays Harbor. It will be geared toward guardians/parents of youth informing them of fentanyl – what it is, dangers, etc. There will be a demonstration of how to use naloxone as well. The event will be in both English and Spanish.



It's Hope Week at HMS! Apologies that this got by me for the Week at a Glance. Monday is Sports Day--Tuesday is Pajama Day--Wednesday is Wear Pink/Red Day--Thursday is Jersey Day--Friday is Twin Day.. Hope Squad will be at both lunches on Monday, maybe Tuesday, with Valentines for students to send to friend.
