HMS 6th Grade Band parents: The Hoquiam H.S. Music Department is sponsoring a 6th Grade "Band Buddies" Night on Nov. 29th!. This is a REQUIRED EVENT for 6th Grade Band Students. High School Band Students (supervised by Ms. Peters) will be down at the Middle School from 5pm to 7:30pm for a TON OF FUN playing experience with the 6th Grade Beginning Band that night. This form DOES need to be completed and returned to HMS by Tuesday, Nov. 28.

HMS Families: Enjoy your long weekend. Here is the Week at a Glance for next week. Oddly enough, no basketball games, but two wrestling matches, and an opportunity for some music and food for 6th grade band members to hang out with their Grizzly band counterparts on Wednesday. Happy Thanksgiving!

HMS Families: Tonight is Hoquiam vs. Montesano night with Girls Basketball! The varsity teams play AT Montesano Jr. High, 8th Grade at 4:00, 7th Grade 5:15. The JV teams play HERE at 4:00 for 8th, and 5:15 for 7th.

HMS Families: Some amendments to our Week at a Glance: On Wednesday it says "Conference Early Release"...it is a normal day and a normal schedule--8:15-2:50 pm. And we have a change of date on on the 8th Grade JV Game scheduled for Wednesday. It has been moved to Monday, November 13 at 4:00. Sorry for the confusion,

HMS Families: Your student is being given a letter about the CEE survey that is being given in all schools in the school district. Some of the most important data that we have to work with regarding improving our schools and district comes from YOU. The family survey is open until December 2, the student survey will be given in Homeroom at school. Please take a moment to read the attached letter, and if you have a mobile device that has a camera, aim the camera at the QR code and it will take you to the survey. It takes 10-15 minutes. We appreciate your feedback! The letter coming home also has the QR codes.

HMS Parents and Students: Foodball begins Friday! There is literally something every day until Monday, November 12. This is a great opportunity to get involved and do some good for our community. Any little bit helps.

Week at a Glance for October 30- November 3: Conference week is here! Tuesday through Friday, students are released at 11:20 a.m. Monday is a full day, with HMS holding its evening conferences that day from 5:00-8:00.

HMS Students and Parents: Just a reminder that tomorrow (Friday) is an early release day with students being dismissed at 11:20 a.m. for conference preparation for our staff. Lunch will be served on a Grab and Go basis at the end of the school day.
