HMS 8th Grade Students and Families:
HHS ASB is putting on an 8th Grade Moving Up Dance! We know this is a last minute event, but that doesn't mean it can't be great! Wear your Neon gear for a fun-filled dance on Friday, June 2nd, 8-10 pm in the HHS Student Center. The dance will be completely free and open to all students who will attend HHS in the fall (current 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students). Show up, boogie, and have lots of fun! We hope to see you there!

HMS Track: back s on Monday to Miller leaves at 2:45. Bus tomorrow for Tumwater leaves at 2:15
HMS Parents and Students: There will be a meeting for all students interested in playing football next year on Tuesday, May 23. If your student is unsure, have them attend the meeting anyways just to get information. The meeting will occur during 7th period in the cafeteria.
Week at a Glance for May 22-26: No School Monday, 6th/7th Track Districts @ Miller on Monday, 8th Track Districts @ Tumwater Tuesday, Testing Makeups all week, Choir Concert Wednesday. Again, NO SCHOOL MONDAY MAY 22!
Just a reminder that on Monday, May 22, there is no school. It is a scheduled weather makeup day. The following Monday, May 29 is also Memorial Day, and there is no school.
Late breaking STEM opportunity this weekend. We received word of this last night and there is a tight window on registration (Thursday). There is information on the pamphlet attached to this. Register here: http://www.thurstoneyh.org/registration.html. There is a $15 cost, but this event has been highly recommended by past attendees.
Week at a Glance for May 15-19: State Math testing Tuesday and Wednesday, and a home Track Meet (we are still looking for helpers!) on Tuesday. Oh, and some more warm weather!

HMS Track parents and fans: Just a reminder that the track meet today is at Tumwater stadium located at Tumwater HS. Bus leaves at 1:30 in case your trackster forgot something.

Week at a Glance for May 1-5: Track travels to Montesano on Monday, probably no meet on Friday. Science Testing (students will test in their normally scheduled science class) for 8th graders. 60 minute early release on Friday.

HMS Parents and Students: HMS will be conducting state testing in the next few weeks. Next week 8th grade students will be taking the state test in science. This will be done during their science classes, and will be for 8th graders only. That is the week of May 1-5. The following week, grades 6-8 will be taking their test in ELA on May 9 and 10, with the 11th and 12th for makeups. Math has their turn on May 16 and 17. If students have headphones that can be plugged into their Chromebooks, we encourage them to bring them. The school will provide headphones otherwise.
