After School Program News: There will be no After School Program on Thursday, January 5. There WILL be a session on Friday from 2:00-4:00 pm.
Today, Boys Basketball and Cheer begin. Cheer practice from 3:00-5:00 in the cafeteria tonight. Basketball practice at 3:00 in the HMS Gym. As we get a more detailed practice schedule, you should be receiving information in Final Forms, and we will also try to keep current information on our website and email.

HMS Families-No afterschool program on Friday December 16.
The Hoquiam School District in partnership with Grays Harbor County Public Health, Health Commons Project, and the ESD 113 will host a No COST childhood immunization Event at Central Elementary Gym from 2pm-7pm Friday December 16th. No Appointments are needed, no insurance is required and there is no cost to families.

Hoquiam ESports is holding tryouts today for their JV Echo VR Spring League TODAY at 3:00 at the HHS Library. This is open to anyone who wants to try. If selected to the squad (there are 8 spots) they will be competing in the world's first middle school VR league. If selected, there is actually a free ESports Jersey! Good luck!
HMS students will be released at 1:20 pm on Friday, December 16. Our Winter Holiday break will be December 19-Jan 2. Students will return to school on Tuesday, January 3. Happy Holidays!
Looking for a little holiday spirit? This week has two opportunities to hear some uplifting music performed by talented musicians at both the high school and middle school. On Tuesday, December 13, HHS will have its winter concert at 7:00 pm at the historic 7th Street Theater. The following evening, HMS will hold its concert at 7:00 pm at the same site. All are welcome, and there is not admission cost.

Week at a Glance for 12/12-16. No quiet slide into the holidays for us...nope. Winter Spirit Week all week. Wrestling is home and Girls Basketball on the road Monday to finish their seasons. Wednesday, we have our Winter Concert at the 7th Street at 7:00 pm. Thursday, our second group of 6th Graders heads to Seattle for the Nutcracker. Friday, we have our Spirit Assembly in the afternoon, and school is dismissed at 1:20....whew!
We are sorry to announce that the December 14 Girls Basketball game with Tumwater has been cancelled. It will not be rescheduled.
Sorry for the last minute word, Mr. Nitti is still home sick and as a result we will not be able to run ESports this afternoon.
Last minute change to the wrestling schedule due to Shelton dropping out of a scheduled match with Aberdeen, Hoquiam will slide in and now has a match at 4:30 Tuesday (tomorrow) at Aberdeen High School. Go Cubs!

HMS Families-In case you didn't get the notification from the school district, due to road conditions, the district is on a 2 hour delay today on Friday. AND we are still on a 1 hour early release today. School will start at 10:20 and be released at 1:20. Drive safely out there.

Tonight's wrestling match between Hoquiam, Ocosta, Bush MS, and Tenino is cancelled. Tenino has weather concerns, and Bush couldn't get a bus. Word on practice to be announced.
