HMS Parents: We are sending home a letter with each student regarding next Thursday's "Great Shakeout" Earthquake and Tsunami drill that will take place. HMS Families: There has been a last second change in the lunch menu for Tuesday: The kitchen will be serving Chicken Alfredo instead of Chicken Burgers. As Chicken Burgers are a popular item, we figured we better let kids know ASAP to prevent any last second heartbreak.

HMS Football Families: Tuesday's 7th Football Game @ Elma has been MOVED to Wednesday. The football games will now be a double header at Elma on Wednesday. 7th Football will play at 4:00, and 8th Football will play at 5:30. Bus will leave HMS at 2:15 pm.

HMS Families: Reminder that tomorrow, September 11, is our open house. There are some teachers who have conflicts, and will not be able to attend, but all are preparing material for you. Open House will run from 5:30-7:00 pm. If you are having trouble filling out the Chromebook checkout form in Skywards, assistance will be available at the event. HMS Families: After talking to a few parents, we are adjusting the start time of our open house to 5:30 p.m. to better allow those of you who are not off until 5:00, time to make it in. I'm sorry for the adjustment, but we don't want time conflicts to be an obstacle to your attendance. Thank you!
HMS Families: Our Open House will be Wednesday, September 11, from 5:00 until 7:00. This is an opportunity to meet your child's teachers, here about what they will be learning, and ask questions. You will travel your child's schedule during this event. We look forward to seeing you there!

HMS Families: Today students were handed a complimentary Puyallup Fair Ticket to bring home. If your plans include a trip to the Puyallup Fair while it runs this month, you might want to get that from them for "safe keeping."
HMS Parents: This year we are issuing Chromebooks to each student for the entire year. In order to be issued a Chromebook, there is a Chromebook checkout form in the enrollment update information that you received information about in the mail. It is located in the "Family Access" section of Skywards. About 1/3 of the forms show completed, according to our list. We cannot issue a device without this form being completed. Can you PLEASE complete this form so we can issue your child their device? If you need help accessing Skywards or with the form itself, please call us at 360-538-8220. Thank you!
