  • Sophomores and Juniors are encouraged to take the PSAT at HHS in October both years! (October 26, 2021)

  • Juniors are encouraged to take the ACT and SAT
    *if they have completed or have almost completed Algebra 2

  • Seniors are encouraged to take another SAT and ACT at the very beginning of their senior year.

Define CPT

The College Placement Test measures your current knowledge and skill in Reading, English and Math. Placement scores are used to determine whether a student can enroll in college level courses or whether pre-college classes must be taken first.

Where Can I Take It?

Grays Harbor College: The Student Support Center conducts computerized placement testing on a drop-in basis. Testing hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 2:00pm, except during the summer when the college is closed on Fridays. (360) 538-4099 for more info.

Redesigned PSAT/NMSQT and the new PSAT™ 8/9

The College Board is launching new and redesigned exams. The new PSAT™ 10 — for 10th-graders — will launch in February 2016 and the redesigned SAT in March 2016. These exams work together as the SAT Suite Assessments. For more information on the NEW PSAT/NMSQT visit the website:
