Good morning. Today is the first day of National School Counseling Week. The theme of this year’s week is “School Counselors: Standards-Based, Student-Focused.” Did you know that our school counselors have standards for school counseling, just like our teachers have standards for learning? A standard is basically a way to measure excellence or quality. So, at the start of each school year, our counselors use standards to develop a plan to support student success in school. They also use standards to help you, the student, build a strong foundation for learning. Do you feel like you need to build up your foundation? Come see your counselor!
